Hailing from Jacksonville, FL, Evergreen Terrace has been blazing their path through the melodic hardcore style for close to a decade now. Anchored by guitar player/vocalist Craig Chaneys clean singing and catchy hooks, punctuated by lead singer Andrew Carey’s vicious screamed vocals, the five-piece band never depended on anyone but themselves to push their band forward. Rounding out the lineup alongside Andrew and Craig is Joshua James (guitar), Caleb JAmes (drums), and currently Chris Andrews (formerly of Stretch Arm Strong) as the bassist. Continuing their blistering combination of melodic hardcore, metal and punk-rock strains, Evergreen Terrace has gone back to their roots for Almost Home. Josh James adds, “I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I’d say its best described as a good mixture of (previous albums) Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker.”

EVERGREEN TERRACE takes cues from no other. The band transitions effortlessly from fast, powerful heavy hardcore to melodic rock. From day one ET took things into their own hands with a serious do-it-yourself attitude. The goal they set has always been as simple as it gets: To have as much fun as possible playing music and to try as hard as they can to not get sucked into this dying world.
20 minutes of raw rock from two iconic figures! For fans of Black Metal, Stoner and classic rock.
“Engangsgrill” is a split album from two icons of Black Metal – Fenriz and Nattefrost.
Together they have teamed up for a rock`n roll experience, exploring the borderline between black metal, doom and classic rock. It’s dark, gloomy and very back to basic. Even the fact that it is a split album takes us back to where it all begun.
Fenriz is best known as the drummer and lyricist of the mighty Darkthrone, and together with Nocturno Culto they’ve been a driving force in the global metal underground for over 20 years! As well as releasing albums with Darkthrone, Fenriz has performed solo and been involved with a number of bands spanning a variety of musical genres the last years, and on the “Engangsgrill” album Fenriz reveals his passion for classic doom. Fenriz recorded these tracks in 1993 as he started working on a 70/80`s doom album – reflecting his current inspiration from Black Sabbath, Candlemass and Trouble (USA) These three tracks where the only ones he finished for the album, and they have been lying there ever since. Now – teaming up with Nattefrost the time has finally come for them to see the light of day. These three tracks, that Nattefrost actually had to rip off a cassette tape make out “Side Nebulah” of the “Engangsgrill” album.
Nattefrost is one of the most recognisable and longest serving figures on the Black Metal scene. He has never shied away from controversy – but at the same time he has never sacrificed quality for mere sensationalism. With “Engangsgrill” Nattefrost is able to show yet another facet of his musical skills, merging unexpected genres and adding his own, unique stamp. You would never have been able to predict “Engangsgrill”, and yet, here it is, because, after all, if there is anything at all predictable about Nattefrost, it’s his ability to surprise. The Nattefrost tracks are recorded between 2002 and 2008 on “various rotten locations” to quote the Hellcommander himself. It is not a new Nattefrost album, but a collection of rare tracks and unreleased out-takes + obscure tracks from Nattefrost personal archive. The 5 selected tracks make out “Side Lustmord” of the “Engangsgrill” album. (Retract)

Pioneering guitarist and general Heavy Metal legend Bill Steer is back where he wants to be. Following the recent and hugely successful Carcass reunion world tour, here with Grand Union Steer is clearly delighted to be concentrating on his main love once again, with the latest full-length offering from his mainstay band Firebird.
It’s somewhat strange to imagine that this is the same man who growled his way through some genre-defining underground Metal albums such as “Symphonies Of Sickness” and “Reek Of Putrefaction” as well as the hugely influential “Heartwork”.
Let’s also not forget the sheer savagery of his riffing on both of Napalm Death’s landmark records “Scum” and “From Enslavement To Obliteration”. With Firebird however, Steer allows himself to unashamedly explore the depths of his own musical progression and the influences that led him here.
Lately, Hard Rock fans have seen the emergence of a new crop of bands, often accompanied by the kind of hype that isn’t easy to live up to. The New Zeppelin, The New AC/DC, blah, blah, blah… Firebird don’t make any such foolish claims, they just get on with the task in hand; honing their craft and living out their true musical lifestyle, whilst effortlessly creating yet another timeless Classic Rock album.
